In terms of design, the Vivo TWS Neo earbuds look similar to Apple AirPods. The earbuds feature large 14.2mm dynamic drivers along with Bluetooth v5.2 for connectivity. They further support Qualcomm aptX Bluetooth codec and Vivo’s in-house DeepX Stereo Sound effects, an audio enhancement feature that is presently available in select Vivo phones.

They also come with Google Assistant compatibility and a “Find My TWS Neo” device locator feature. In terms of the battery, Vivo claims that Vivo TWS Neo can operate up to 5.5 hours with AAC encoding and 50 percent volume and for up to 4.2 hours with the aptX codec.

With the charging case, the battery is said to last for up to 22 hours. Additionally, the Vivo TWS Neo earbuds case comes with USB Type-C port for charging. As mentioned, the Vivo TWS Neo earbuds are IP54-rated for dust and water resistance.

  • Lightweight
  • AirPods-style design
  • Good touch controls

The Vivo TWS Neo bundle consists of two earbuds and a charging case, in either White or Starry Blue.

The plastic case weighs 45.7g – that’s a touch heavier than the AirPods case, but still fairly light – with dimensions of 58.1 x 51.6 x 24mm. It’s easily totable, and its curved-edge pebble-like form factor makes it comfortable to bury in a pocket.

Audio performance

  • aptX Adaptive / SBC / AAC
  • Fairly balanced sound
  • Treble feels too relaxed

From a specs perspective, the Vivo TWS Neo tick many of the boxes you’d expect. They have a 20Hz – 20,000Hz frequency range, the codecs are aptX Adaptive / AAC / SBC which gives fair coverage, and there’s a 14.2mm moving coil driver.

Battery life

  • Three hours onboard battery life
  • 5 hours from the charging case

Vivo estimates the earbuds have battery lives of four-and-a-half hours each, but we can’t say we concur with this.

Wireless connectivity

  • Pairing issues with multiple devices
  • Wear Detection
  • Bluetooth 5.2 support
